The GovStack Women in GovTech Challenge 2023-2024 is an exceptional opportunity for
women to build and enhance the skills crucial to the design and development of citizen-centric
digital government services.
The GovStack initiative is a multi-stakeholder initiative led by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Estonia, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and the Digital Impact Alliance. under int@j Women Empowerment Unit – SHETECHS, the challenge will provide its participants with guided support to create impactful digital services that can be implemented in their respective countries.
Top service proposals developed as part of the challenge will be showcased at the esteemed World Summit in the Information Society (WSIS) 2024.
As part of the challenge, successful participants will:
Build Technical Skills – the building block approach to create digital services, manage agile
teams, and more
Build Master soft Skills – communicate effectively, teamwork, critical thinking, and more
Master career management – people management, decision-making, and more
Have a thorough understanding of the GovStack building block approach
Implement a digital government service in their country
Have access to complementary content through Atingi and Coursera
Receive university credits upon completion of Coursera courses
Have opportunities to showcase digital services in international fora, like WSIS 2024
Join an active community of empowered women digital leaders.
