Apply for JOURNEY TO GENDER DIVERSITY FOR PRIVATE COMPANIES IN JORDAN

       
     

The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan – int@j, invites you to apply in The Mashreq Gender Facility (MGF)- a five-year technical facility by the World Bank Group which aims at increasing women’s economic participation in the Levant, including in Jordan- JOURNEY TO GENDER DIVERSITY FOR PRIVATE COMPANIES IN JORDAN Competition

This competition is tailored to set up the winning companies so that they can pursue their workforce gender diversity goals.

The winners of this competition will receive from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) a deep-dive diagnostic assessment of the company’s workforce to identify gaps between male and female employees. They will also receive a company-wide action plan to close the identified gaps.

Please apply if you are a company that:

  1. Has 50 or more employees
  2. Has workforce gender diversity goals that it wants to achieve
  3. Has an initial plan or project on how to achieve these goals
  4. Your plan or project can be completed within 6 to 12 months
  5. Has identified a team to work on this project
  6. All sectors are welcome to apply with the exception of Tobacco, Spirits, Oil & Gas. State-owned enterprises cannot apply.

What is the process?

  1. Interested companies will submit their applications on this link by March 31st, 2021.
  2. An independent judging committee will review and evaluate applications based on a set of evaluation criteria to be made public and select 2 winners.
  3. The winners will sign a legally binding (Letter of Engagement) with IFC to officiate the process for IFC and its experts to conduct a deep-dive diagnostic assessment of the company’s workforce that identifies gaps between male and female employees.
  4. With the help of IFC, the two winning companies will each conduct a diagnostic assessment of their workforce to identify gaps between male and female employees. This assessment will generate a companywide gender action plan, which the companies can then implement. The companywide gender action plan would include the proposed gender diversity project submitted by the company at the start of the competition. The company is expected to implement the full (or part of the) action plan autonomously in a self-paced way with its own resources.
  5. IFC will help the company prepare a monitoring framework to help the company track and measure the results of their companywide gender diversity action plan.
