The Foreign Commercial Service FCS Office at U.S. Embassy in Amman is hosting the event InvesTech 2022 on its second-year round. InvesTech 2022 is a half-day workshop and pitchfest for Jordanian startups looking to grow business opportunities in the United States.
InvesTech Format
Companies will join group presentations and discussions. A select number of participants will have an opportunity to pitch U.S. business expansion plans before an expert panel that will provide real-time feedback.
Since the event this year will be in-person, there would be a limited number of seats available, with no more than a total of 30 startups of those up to 10 will be selected for the pitchfest. However, we will consider extending invitations to join virtually if we received high number of registration from quality startups.
Target Startups
The workshop will target start-up companies with a demonstrated level of success locally, and ideally some engagement regionally or internationally, that would be candidates for growing business opportunities in the United States by establishing a small office. The target industry for this event is the tech industry, but we are welcoming registration from high growth startups in other industries.
Pitchfest Criteria
Startups companies that want to participate in the pitchfest must be in the tech industry and meet the following criteria:
• Less than 10 years old
• Up to $10 million in revenue
• Up to 40 employees
• Developing a new technology product or service, or delivering an existing technology to a market in new ways
Due to seat limitations, we would like to invite high-quality startups with demonstrated levels of success that would make them ready for expansion.
