Progressive Generation Holding and the University of Waterloo, Canada, have announced the launch of the first regional academy in the Middle East dedicated to teaching animation and digital content production through artificial intelligence in Jordan and Saudi Arabia, under the name “PG Academy.” The center is set to open in May 2025, with the goal of empowering young Jordanians and Arabs in the field of animation by offering globally recognized training programs, preparing them to compete in global markets. The project also aims to create over 50,000 job opportunities in the creative industries sector in the MENA region over the next decade, further enhancing Jordan’s position as a regional hub for digital creativity.

The grand event took place under the patronage of His Excellency Canadian Ambassador Mr. Tariq Khan and His Excellency Minister of Investment of Jordan Mr. Mothanna Gharaibeh. This event marks a significant milestone for PG Academy, reflecting the strength of the partnership and innovation in achieving its goals.

This announcement was also made at the MENA ICT 2024, as part of the activities surrounding the unveiling of international agreements during the event.
