As part of its ongoing commitment to humanitarian causes, Capital Bank has announced its sponsorship as the main supporter of the “Seven Mountains” initiative. This youth-led effort aims to raise funds for children on the waiting list at the King Hussein Cancer Center.
Founded in 2017 by Louay Shomaly, the initiative raises donations annually by organizing mountain climbing expeditions that symbolize the challenges cancer patients face during treatment. This year, students from the International School of Choueifat will take on the climb to support this important cause.
Touleen Barto, Chief Marketing and Corporate Communications Officer at Capital Bank, expressed pride in supporting the “Seven Mountains” initiative, which reflects the resilience and determination of Jordanian youth. She emphasized that the bank’s sponsorship aligns with its commitment to social responsibility and its ongoing efforts to support initiatives that enhance lives and communities.
“Our sponsorship of the ‘Seven Mountains’ initiative reaffirms our dedication to health-related causes,” Barto said. “This initiative is a powerful symbol of solidarity with cancer patients, ensuring they receive the support they need.”
To date, the initiative has raised over $700,000 for the King Hussein Cancer Center, a testament to the team’s relentless efforts to raise awareness and funds. This achievement underscores the initiative’s vital role in supporting underprivileged cancer patients.
