The Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC) celebrated the successful conclusion of the second incubation program of its JOIN Fincubator, which spanned over six months, by graduating the second batch of innovative fintech startups in a prestigious event held at the Four Seasons Hotel, Amman. The event was held under the patronage and presence of His Excellency, the Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan, Dr. Adel Al-Sharkas, and witnessed the attendance of bank CEOs, as well as representatives from fintech and banking sectors, investors, and business incubators and accelerators.
During the Demo Day, 9 fintech startups presented their Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), which were developed from initial ideas that the center incubated. The incubation program spanned over six months and included over 100 training workshops by more than 35 experts in Fintech, Business and Entrepreneurship. The training workshops were designed to equip the participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to develop and refine their MVPs and bring them to the market.
In line with its participatory approach, JoPACC has extended an invitation to all financial sector stakeholders aimed at enhancing support for startups and fostering partnerships with established financial institutions and investors. The participating startups span a diverse array of product categories, effectively addressing the multifaceted needs of the Fintech ecosystem. These encompass categories such as “Green Financing”, “Lending and Financing”, “Investment and Account Aggregation”, “Payment and Remittances”, “Insurtech and Proptech”.
In his speech, His Excellency Dr. Adel Al-Sharkas expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the three banks sponsoring the incubation program at the “JOIN” Center: Jordan Kuwait Bank, Housing Bank for Trade and Finance, and Jordan Islamic Bank. He welcomed the center’s sponsors for the years 2025-2027, namely Jordan Kuwait Bank (Platinum Sponsor), and Housing Bank and Capital Bank (Bronze Sponsors). Al-Sharkas also praised the valuable partnership with all key players in the financial ecosystem who contributed to the successful completion of the second cohort.
In line with their partnership with JOIN Fincubator and their ongoing commitment to supporting the startup ecosystem in Jordan, the Innovative Startups and SMEs Fund (ISSF) funded the Audience Favorite Award—a 5,000 JOD prize—presented to (Open2X), as voted by attendees after the pitch presentations.
As part of JoPACC’s ongoing commitment to fostering innovation, Her Excellency, Ms. Maha Bahou, CEO of JoPACC, has announced the opening of registrations for the third cycle of the incubation program, calling on all those with innovative ideas related to Fintech to apply for the program.
It is worth mentioning that the Fintech Incubator “JOIN” aims to empower innovators and entrepreneurs in the fintech sector to offer innovative financial products that support digital transformation and financial inclusion. The center provides advanced infrastructure and a digital sandbox for precise product testing and development. It also offers expert supervision and opportunities to connect with investors, helping innovators launch their products in local and global markets.
