Orange Jordan, through the Coding Academy, under the umbrella of Orange Digital Centers (ODC), organized the Ramadan Hackathon, gathering Academy trainees from its various centers in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa, Aqaba, and Balqa. The competition was held for one day, where 170 trainees had the opportunity to showcase their programming skills and creativity in developing innovative technical solutions that serve the community. A specialized jury evaluated the projects and selected the winners from more than 29 participating teams based on the criteria of creativity and societal impact.
Orange Jordan stated that the Hackathon is a space to encourage young people to use their programming skills, as well as logical and creative thinking, to express themselves and serve their community. The company added that, through the Coding Academy, it seeks to promote the principles of teamwork and creative thinking among the youth, especially in the field of digital education, and enables them to exploit their technical talents to contribute to the advancement of their country.
Participants in the Hackathon demonstrated an outstanding ability to work under pressure, reflecting the advanced level they have achieved thanks to their training at the Academy. This event is part of Orange Jordan’s ongoing efforts to support digital education, as the employment rate among graduates of the Coding Academy has exceeded 85%, reflecting the success of these programs in preparing young talents for the labor market and enhancing their career path.
