STS, a ZainTECH company and a leading provider of digital transformation and integrated ICT solutions in the region, in collaboration with Oracle, has successfully completed a comprehensive database modernization project for the Jordanian Customs Department. This initiative involved updating the department’s databases to the latest versions, utilizing the world’s fastest Oracle database processing technology in partnership with Comprehensive Information Technology Experience Company.

Under this project, STS implemented the latest Oracle Exadata processing devices, which significantly accelerated database operations and improved backup efficiency by 85% using the Oracle ZFS Storage ZS9-2—a first-of-its-kind in the kingdom of Jordan. These advancements have notably enhanced performance levels and bolstered security standards.

The preparation and execution of this modernization project spanned several months, ensuring a seamless transition with zero downtime. The meticulous planning and execution allowed for uninterrupted service both internally and externally, maintaining the department’s operational continuity throughout the update period
