Estarta is proud to participate in the UN Women Male Allyship Training, taking place on August 4th, 5th, and 6th at Movenpick Amman, as part of the regional Dare to Care Programme. This innovative initiative is designed to engage men and boys in advancing gender equality by promoting shared responsibilities in unpaid care and challenging the social norms that hinder women’s full participation in the workforce.
The training aligns with the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), particularly Principles 2 and 3, which advocate for fair treatment of all employees and the creation of safe, inclusive, and enabling work environments. These efforts directly contribute to Jordan’s Economic Modernisation Vision (EMV) by fostering workplace cultures that support gender equality and work-life balance.
Key Objectives of the Training:
- Deepen understanding of gender dynamics in professional settings.
- Promote positive masculinity and male allyship as essential drivers of women’s economic empowerment.
- Address barriers such as implicit bias and structural inequalities.
- Equip participants with strategies for inclusive leadership.
- Highlight best practices for workplace policies on equal pay, care responsibilities, harassment prevention, and career advancement.
- Raise awareness on the significance of unpaid care work and its impact on corporate culture and gender equity.
Through interactive sessions, case studies, and self-assessment tools based on UN Women’s Male Allyship Manual, the training provides a platform for participants to reflect on their roles in fostering inclusivity and to commit to actionable steps towards change.
At Estarta, we believe that real progress in gender equality requires collaboration, allyship, and continuous learning. This training is a step forward in our ongoing commitment to creating a workplace where diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just values but everyday practices.
