Electronic Health Solutions (EHS) and the National Center for Epidemics and Communicable Diseases Control have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at enhancing health awareness in the community through a number of joint initiatives.

The memorandum was signed by Eng. Omar Ibrahim Ayesh, CEO of EHS, and Dr. Adel Al-Belbisi, Head of the National Center, in the presence of several officials from both sides.

The memorandum aims to support the continuous update of the Jordan Electronic Medical Library (ELM) through the exchange of up-to-date scientific resources, the development of health and educational content tailored to the community, in addition to organizing joint awareness campaigns and programs, as well as specialized training workshops on the use of medical databases and evidence-based decision-making.

As part of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s 79^th Independence Day celebrations, His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein bestowed the Order of King Abdallah Ibn Al Hussein II for Excellence – First Class Upon the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC). This honor comes in recognition of JoPACC’s pioneering role in operating electronic payment systems that facilitate digital financial services in Jordan and for supporting innovation in financial technology.

The medal was received by Her Excellency Ms. Maha Bahou, CEO of JoPACC, during an official ceremony held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Al Husseiniya Palace. On this occasion, Ms. Bahou expressed her pride in this royal recognition, stating:

“This medal is a tribute to every member of the JoPACC team. It is a testament to the fact that innovation and dedicated work are valued by the Hashemite leadership, which places entrepreneurship and progress at the heart of its vision for Jordan’s future.”

Since its establishment in 2017, JoPACC has positioned itself as a key driver of digital transformation in the financial sector. The company currently manages five core national payment systems:

• The Instant Payment System (CliQ)
• JoMoPay (For operating mobile wallets)
• The Automated Clearing House (ACH)
• The Electronic Cheque Clearing Unit (ECCU)
• The Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment System (eFAWATEERcom)

JoPACC’s mission goes beyond operating these systems; it aims to build a comprehensive digital ecosystem by developing innovative financial solutions. The company also plays a leading role in generating and disseminating knowledge by producing specialized reports and studies that contribute to establishing a strong local knowledge base in the field of digital financial services.

In line with its commitment to nurturing innovation, JoPACC founded JOIN Fincubator, the first business incubator in Jordan dedicated to financial technology. The center was launched in October 2022 and officially inaugurated in June 2023 by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II. JOIN was established in response to the Economic Modernization Vision launched by His Majesty the King in 2022, which aims to build a sustainable digital economy and promote innovation in financial services. The center is designed to empower fintech entrepreneurs and support financial institutions, students, and young professionals in developing innovative financial solutions, enhancing their skills, and preparing them to contribute to building an advanced digital future.

Ultimately, the medal awarded to JoPACC stands as a tribute to its journey and achievements and serves as an incentive to continue excelling and innovating in service of the national economy. JoPACC reaffirms its unwavering commitment to advancing payment systems, promoting financial inclusion, and supporting the next generation of innovators in fintech — all in alignment with Jordan’s ambitious Economic Modernization Vision.
