Launching third local edition of Orange Social Venture Prize

 

Orange Jordan recently announced opening registration for start-ups to participate in the third edition of the Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) 2019, starting from March until the end of May, targeting innovative projects that are designed by the youth, with solutions that respond to the needs of the local community in different sectors.

In a press release issued by Orange Jordan, the company said that: “Supporting and motivating the youth to demonstrate their best performance through such competitions, and directing projects that will benefit the local community, is considered to be one of Orange Jordan’s top priorities, seeking to support innovation and the local community, pointing out that the company pays ongoing attention to the youth segment in society, by shedding light on their innovative projects and providing them with training programs, financial support, and the required professional expertise, to enhance their confidence and help them in developing their ideas in the best way possible”.

The company also affirmed that the local version of this prize reflects Orange Jordan’s role as an international company with a local spirit, as the company implemented Orange Group’s commitment to supporting projects which have a positive impact on the local community in all the countries that it operates in, across the Middle East and Africa.

Orange Jordan formed a  jury consisting of experts in the entrepreneurial field consisting of: Chief Executive Officer of Abd Al Hamid Shoman Foundation, Valentina Kassisieh, Deputy Executive Director at The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), Mohammad Al-Amoush, CEO at Information and Communications Technology Association – Jordan (Int@j), Eng. Nidal Bitar, Director of Strategy & Partnerships at Crown Prince Foundation, Mais AlDaoud, pioneer Fida Taher and PR, CSR, and Corporate Communication Director at Orange Jordan, Rana Al Dababneh. The jury will select three start-ups from the applicants, which will be announced in August. The first three winners will be awarded with three prizes: 4,000 JD, 3,000 JD, and 1,000 JD respectively and will have the opportunity to participate in the international version of the prize, with a first prize reaching 50,000 Euros.

Orange Jordan’s continuation of launching the local edition of this prize came after its success in exploring the youth talents and innovative projects in the two previous competitions, where the company proved its ability to sponsor these start-ups and effectively contribute to enhancing the socioeconomic development, while pushing digital transformation in the Kingdom.

Orange Jordan is the exclusive sponsor for the telecommunications services in the Abdali Medical Center (Abdali Clemenceau Hospital)

 

 

Orange Jordan signed an agreement with the Abdali Medical Center (Abdali Clemenceau Hospital), which is expected to start operating in the second half of 2019 in Al-Abdali area. According to the agreement, Orange Jordan will provide the center with fixed and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services, including: landlines, internet, electronic security, audio and video systems, wired and wireless networks, as well as data center services. The agreement was signed by CEO of Orange Jordan, Thierry Marigny, and CEO of Abdali Medical Center, Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh, in the attendance of Chief Enterprise Officer of the Business Unit, Eng. Sami Smeirat, Chief Operations Director, Edward Lutz, and Chief Security Officer, Paul Casterton in Abdali Medical Center.

On this occasion, Marigny said: “We are very pleased to partner with Abdali Medical Center, as it will become one of the largest and most important medical centers in the Middle East, providing exceptional medical services through the latest and state-of-the-art technology in this field. Through this partnership, we seek to offer the center an exceptional experience,through providing fixed telecommunications and ICT services, to enhance its daily operations. Through our partnership with Abdali Medical Center, we also seek to contribute to creating a positive transformation in the quality of medical services offered to citizens”.

From his side, Abu Ghazaleh said: “We seek to make this facility a medical tourism attraction in the region, by providing exceptional medical care services on a local, regional, and global level”.

He said: “Our partnership with Orange Jordan stems from our vision to provide the best medical services to our patients, as this partnership will support us in achieving our main goal of alleviating the level of outstanding medical services to reach the highest levels in the world, using the latest technologies in this field, noting that Orange Jordan has been able to provide the latest ICT information systems required by the center at the best price”. Abu Ghazaleh stressed that in order to complement the royal vision, our investment in this distinguished medical facility will create approximately 1,200 jobs, which will have a great positive impact on the socio-economic sector in our beloved Jordan”.

Orange Jordan inaugurates its customer service center at the new location

 

CEO of Orange Jordan, Thierry Marigny recently inaugurated the new location of the company’s customer service call center in Abdali, located near Al-Dakhliya Circle. The new location will enhance the company’s communication and increase its efficiency in managing its relationship with its customers, responding to their needs, and providing them with the company’s offers and services in a more effective way.

The Orange customer service call center at the new location, is part of Crystel, a company specialized in managing integrated telecommunications and outsourcing services.

The new center was inaugurated in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Crystel, His Excellency Mr. Ayman Majali, Co-Founder/Managing Director, Zeena Majali, Chief Operations Director, Rami-Al Atiyat, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Orange Jordan, His Excellency Dr. Shabib Ammari, and Chief Consumer Market Officer, Naila Al Dawoud, in addition to executives and employees from both companies.

Marigny said that this step came in the aim of increasing Orange Jordan’s competitiveness and efficiency in providing logistic services, and continuing its excellence in serving its customers, through providing advanced, diverse and value-added telecommunications services and solutions that meet their different needs around the clock, affirming that it provides high-quality logistic services.

Marigny pointed out that the new center has a total of 158 employees, where Orange Jordan offers equal opportunities to all segments of society, ensuring gender equality, the inclusion of people with disabilities, and attracting employees from all governorates, in addition to employing young people between the ages of 18 and 29,  in order to reduce unemployment. From her side, Chief Consumer Market Officer, Naila Al Dawoud said that the new location is considered an important step in the area of customer service, which is considered to be one of Orange Jordan’s top priorities, due to its spaciousness that can accommodate many employees, to meet the needs of its customers, resulting in higher customer satisfaction. The new building can be expanded in the future to accommodate the increased amount of incoming calls to the customer service center, which is currently estimated at 3.5 million calls per year. This will enhance the center’s performance, reflecting positively on the company’s efficiency in managing its customer-relationship and meeting their needs in the shortest time possible.
